Description

philodendron brandtianum trailing Philodendron brandtianumPhilodendron brandtianum, often called the silver leaf philodendron, is one of the most understatedly beautiful trailing and climbing Philodendrons in cultivation. Heart shaped olive green leaves are overlaid with bold silvery bands between the veins, creating a soft, metallic sheen that glows under bright, filtered light. Stems trail happily from a hanging planter or climb steadily once given a moss pole, with leaves enlarging as the plant matures.

Philodendron brandtianum, often called the silver leaf philodendron, is one of the most understatedly beautiful trailing and climbing Philodendrons in cultivation. Heart-shaped olive-green leaves are overlaid with bold silvery bands between the veins, creating a soft, metallic sheen that glows under bright, filtered light. Stems trail happily from a hanging planter or climb steadily once given a moss pole, with leaves enlarging as the plant matures. Fast-growing, forgiving, and refreshingly easy, this is a Philodendron that rewards both beginners and collectors.

Origins
Philodendron brandtianum is native to tropical South America, with a natural range that includes parts of Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, and Venezuela.

Soil and Substrate
Our Monstera & Philodendron Premium Potting Mix is ideal for this plant. Its chunky blend of bark, perlite, coco chips, and charcoal keeps roots well-oxygenated, drains quickly to prevent rot.

Too Tight but It Works
It doesn't really sit on very well to be honest, it tends to sit TOO tight in my opinion. Taking it off can be a hassle but at least it gets the job done, durability is good, finish is great, obviously easy to use.

Do one oil change myself and it’s more than paid for.
Color: Silver, Color: Silver
It is 74 mm. It’s nicely made of cast aluminum. It has a rough cast finish so it shouldn’t be difficult to hold on to. It does fit my Lexus filter and the price is very reasonable. It also fits the oil filter on my 1999 (antique) Harley Davidson Heritage Classic. Which is the primary reason I ordered it. I don’t know this for certain but I suspect it will fit all HD EVO engines. That would be 1984 through 1998 except the Heritage which didn’t change to the 88 Twin Cam until 2000.
